We lost the toss and were put to bowl.

Shazad and Mashooq opened the bowling, and Mashooq provided us with an early breakthrough, thanks to our 12th man Abbas, made a meal of it.

Wicket and outfield was quick. However Nomi was beautifully setup by Sardar but a lollipop of a catch was put down by Mashooq.

So a partnership began to develop with the 4th wicket, hosts were most likely looking to take the score in an excess of 300.

However after the drinks break, breakthrough came from Sardar, Mashooq and Shazad. Backed up by Kashi.

We managed to stem the run flow and bowled them out for 226.

We started with Mashooq and Jay.

Jay responded to the chase very well with some belligerent stroke play. Mashooq also began to open his shoulders, after smacking 16 in that over.
He was caught behind.

Chandu was then sent in and he built a great partnership with Jay, but eventually missed the straight one. Jeffin, just couldn't get going.

Shail then walked in at 5, and started his account with 2 exquisite boundaries to keep the pressure on the hosts.

Jay finally got to his century, with some flare. And was dismissed at 171, leaving us needing 56 runs to win, with 23 overs to go.

Shail succumbed to the chatter he was having with the bowler. Which paved way for the young gun Raza.

Raza watched a couple of balls, and then quickly took a liking to Kabeer, dispatching him for consecutive boundaries.

With me by his side, having my heart in my mouth everytime Raza played the straight ball.

We needed 15 runs, and Raza hit 3 boundaries and we ran 2 or 3, leaving the score to 2 runs to win.

I finished the innings carefully guiding a full toss to the square leg boundary sealing our first win for this season and our first against chesham.

Excellent bowling from Sardar, Kashif, Mashooq and Shazad after the drinks break.

Great glove work by Chandu, and overall boys you were excellent in the field, especially Dada and Shail, with another phenomenal catch this time on the deep point boundary.
