Watford Badshahs Cricket Club Won by 45 runs

Match report Badshahs won the toss and decided to bat.

Abbas and Sardar were tasked to open the innings.

Starting very steady, Pak Stars then began to face the attack of Abbas and Sardars bat. Sardar departed after putting up 32 run partnership. Missing the straighter ball.
Abbas continued putting away the loose ball, with Jeff on the other side. But departed after having such a good start, trying to force a run off a good ball.
Jayraj, went in, but quickly departed once again. Getting caught LBW. There are still talks of the Umpire and his duvious decisions, but it is what it is.

Azad and Jeff were now at the crease. They began grafting very hard. Runs were not hard to come by but they knew they had to rebuild the innnings, and both managed that task with excellence. A partnership of 56 turned out to be a match winning effort. Jeff then threw his wicket away after making a fighting score of 41. Ehtesham Darr was sent in at 6th and looked very good. But left a straight one. Syed Murtaza, went in looked great, but was run out stupidly, by literally walking to the other end. Ashiq played a little cameo, and missed the straight one. Ehtesham Malik missed a straight one. Shazad Hussain, Shail built a partnership of 22 runs. Shazad and Shail looked well in control. Until Shail tried to force the situation, and was caught at short midwicket.

Shazad and Ashiq opened the bowling.

Ashiq quickly removed the dangerous pinch hitter Ali Asghar, but could not get into his groove. Whilst Shazad began working his magic on the other end. Azad wearing the gloves for the first time, which i will come to in the next sentence.

Ziad was sent in to hit Pak Stars out of trouble, Game was on. Ashiq knew he had to remove him and early. Ziad started very good. He hit Ashiq for 3 boundaries, one of which was an edge. But Azad's presence of mind, caught Ziad playing out of his crease, and stumped him out. Brilliant thinking.
Shazad then took another wicket at the other end leaving Pak Stars with a difficult task. the best was yet to come from Badshahs. At this period the hosts were 38 for 4. Pak Stars had a partnership building which went to the drinks break.

The skipper took Badshahs to the side, had a little team talk, and reminded the guys what needs to be done in order to take this game.

As we stepped back on the ground very quickly Jeff took his first wicket. He made it very difficult for Pak Stars to score runs, and on the other end Sardar was working his magic with variations. Making it very difficult for the hosts to score. This was coupled with great fielding. Azad, Murtaza and Jayraj stepped up to the occasion, hardly letting anything passed them.

Shazad was brought back on after the drinks break for a short spell of 2 overs. Contaning the runs, pairing with Jeff from the other end, before Sardar was given the ball again. Gulfraz was run out by Ashiq with a great pick and direct hit from Mid on. The squeez was on.

Once Jeff bowled out, Ashiq came back and removed the very eager Kamran Nawaz who was intending to hit the big shots, but was caught at mid off by Shazad.

Sardar finished the game off with Pak Stars falling short by 45 runs.

Everyone contributed more or less, with the bat and the ball.

The bowling figures speak for themselves.

But the match winning performance once again goes to Jeff.

But this does not negate the contributions of others, Azad with the gloves. Shazad and Sardar with the bowl.
