Match report A must win game for us in order to remain in Division 1, however dependant on other results

We won the toss and decided to bat first.

Jayraj and Abbas went in, Jay quickly opened his account with a boundary. But was caught at the boundary shortly after. Jeff went and joined Abbas, who also was caught at Mid off. Ashiq went in to build a steady partnership with Jeff, but was a victim of a direct hit and quickly came back. Shazad went in and remained stubborn for a few balls until he was also caught. Jeff was just watching wickets fall. Talha went in played a good hand, but he also was caught at the boundary. Sardar went in opened his account with a 6, but strolled back to the pavillion also being caught. Azad then stepped onto the pitch and engineered the innings with Jeff, building a solid partnership of 70 plus runs. Before Jeff departed for a well played innings of 73. Azad and Shail both played a good hand, and built a partnership which took the team to 200 runs, until Shail was Caught and Bowled. Azad finished his innings for a great knock of 41 runs.

Badshahs started very poorly with the ball, and the openers could not find a way to penetrate the opening batsmen. Then the spin of Jeff, Shahrukh and Talha was introduced. All 3 took 8 wickets between them, Shahrukh with the best figures he has bowled. Shail was given the ball to clean up the last wicket.

Jeff once again has to be the M.O.M

73 runs and 2 wickets.

Although Azad done a great job behind the stumps yet again, taking a couple of good catches.

Unfortunately Pak Stars beat Reading East. So Badshahs will be starting at Division 2. But not all is lost, a poor start to this season paved the way for a bad ending. We will rebuild the whole structure from Div 2.
