It was a friendly 30 overs match played today between Watford Badshahs and Srilanka. Badshahs
won the toss and elected to bat first.

It was a good sunny weather whereas the pitch was craggy to play on. The pitch seemed a pure
bowlers wicket and so was the outfield. Ashiq Shah, the skipper, was keen to attack the opposition
with his all-round batting line-up and a variety of bowlers he got for the other half.
Badshahs lost their first 2 wickets at an early stage but Abbas Shah kept the wicket well with proper
endurance by scoring a whopping 51 when the team was struggling. Alongside, Shihab Hameed and Waheed Chaudhury
were a good support in making up a decent partnership with Abbas Shah. Kashif Habib then shocked the
bowling side by hitting back to back boundaries and ending up with a classical knock of 56 runs. On
the other hand, Ghazanfar Mehfooz (Jeff) , Sardar Navid Khan and Faisal Rehman didn’t allow the scoreboard to slow down and played in a decent
manner. Overall, Badshahs scored an outstanding 222/10 runs in 29.4 overs.

When it comes to the bowling, Badshahs showed that they were the real BADSHAHS today with the
bowl in their hand. Badshahs devastated the batting line-up of the opposition and bowled them out
for 68 runs in just 18.1 overs.

Ashiq Shah started the innings with pure aggression and sent the batsmen
back to the pavilion in his very first over. He finished off his overs with 3 wickets and a decent
economy of 3.33 in 3 overs. Imran Malik on the other hand took 2 wickets incandescently in his very first
over that went maiden. He kept the ball quite well throughout his bowling. Following the footsteps,
Kashif Habib kept the ball well and Azad made sure that the batsmen don’t forget their way back to the
pavilion. Azad Abdur Rehman took 2 wickets by brilliantly bowling in his debut match with badshahs. Shahrukh Shah and
Jeff also went on with the flow where Shahrukh Shah sent 2 batsmen back to the pavillion while Jeff took
1 wicket.

A poor umpiring was seen from the opposition where 2 clean caught behinds were not given out.
However, Badshah didn’t miss any chances and took those wickets in the very next balls.

Overall, Badshahs is on the grounds again and from their today's performance, they’ve clearly
showed that they are fully capable of smashing any bowler, they are smart enough to send any
batsmen back to the pavilion and enough enthusiasts to not let any batsmen score singles and
doubles in the field.
