Match report Watford Badshahs won the toss and decided to bat

Faisal and Sardar were both dispatched to the middle to torment the opposition.
Sardar started off in a very aggressive fashion, taking the game to the bowler, from the very first ball dispatching the young Express Usman Ali for 15 runs. The running between the wickets was turned up a notch, Faisal backing up Sardar beautifully. Sardar fell victim in the beginning of the 4th over, for 26 off just 12 balls. Sending tremors down the eagles beak.
Tahir then stepped onto the crease after Faisal tried to create some room, and got bowled. Abbas joined Tahir but just like Jayraj, couldn’t occupy the crease in a positive fashion, and soon departed also. Raj also joined Tahir, but returned to the pavilion very quickly, being caught LBW facing his first ball. Amir was dispatched to bring some control to the innings, which he done very well. Shail also complimented and put the Eagles under more pressure towards the end of the innings, by taking some very rapid singles and doubles. Although he creamed a few but the nature of the outfield was not as rewarding as the shot.

We managed to put a score of 135, which was hard to get after losing quick wickets.

Sardar and Amir opened the bowling, they bowled with great discipline for the first 2 overs, only conceding 5 runs between them. And Amir picking up the wicket of the opening batsmen, with his fast searing Yorker. The fielding did not compliment the bowling yet again, which began to ease the pressure on the Eager Eagles. Sardar also began to lose his line and length, trying too hard to pick up a wicket, rather than letting the surface throw its own variations.
Kashif, was given the ball, but after a very loose over, and the lack of a 5th bowler, he was taken out of the attack. Abbas was given the ball, and he created an easy chance straight in the hands of Raj at square leg, but was put down, a looping catch. Abbas was then replaced due to bowling a very poor line. Shail was given the ball, but also he proved to be undisciplined with his line. Jayraj was then given the ball, but could not stick to a tight line and length also. Sardar was given the ball, but couldn’t maintain a vigorous line and length. At this point Badshahs has conceived 48 runs in 4 overs, going at the rate of 12 an over. This was mainly due to poor line and length.

Then Kashif was brought in when the Eagles required only 40 runs off 8 overs, with 8 wickets in hand. Kashif suddenly woke up, and began bowling with absolute heat. Knocking the batsmen over, like skittles. Amir joined in the fun too, bouncing the batsmen out. Ashiq came in to bowl the 16th over keeping it very tight, which allowed Kashif to attack hard on the other side. Removing another wicket. Kashif was done and so was Amir. 17 overs had gone, 6 wickets down and 26 runs to get off 18 balls. Ashiq took the ball, and decided to attack the body of the batsman, and quickly this paid off, the Eagles were now 8 down and need 21 off 2 overs with 2 wickets remaining. Shail was given the ball to execute the 19th over. And he bowled brilliantly under pressure, and then created a chance, straight at Jayraj, who took it with open arms.
11 runs needed off the last over, and one wicket needed for Badshahs to register their first win.
First ball, goes for 2 behind the keeper, 2nd ball finds the boundary behind the keeper, 3rd is looped into the covers, had Shahrukh, went with his instincts he could have leaped and grasped the ball ending the innings, but decided to prevent the 2 runs instead. Mind over matter! Now the new batsmen was on strike, a very fast delivery dispatched at the chest, lifting off a good length, comes off the top edge, everyone is looking at Raj, Hearts are in our mouths. Caught!! Raj cradles the ball in his hand, and then throws it in the air with joy. Badshahs brought the game back and registered their first win. A lot of emotions were flying during the whole game, but we got the result we all were aiming for.
Some great tactical input from Sardar, Abbas waking the boys up, and making them believe, Shail 19th over under pressure, Amir and Kashif’s second spell, Tahir behind the stumps. It was a huge win for the team.
