Match report Big Clash of Watford took place at King Georges between the legendary Haidery’s and the upcoming Badshahs.
Badshahs lost the toss and were put to field.

Ashiq came in with the new ball, taking the pace off on a very sticky wicket. So the length and line was crucial. Haidery’s showed clear intentions, as their openers Toqueer and Ahtesham, swung hard. After the first 2 overs, everything was going as planned, by the Badshahs. Removing the ever hopeful Ahtesham, who just swung one too many with a blindfold, whilst Toqueer kept his composure at the other end.
This then paved way for the Ex County player, Zawar. Who negotiated the ball pretty well, and looked a threat. Surprisingly after dispatching a ball for 6, he succumbed, to a setup and fell very quickly.
Husnain, replaced him and was eager to score some runs. But he was very well contained. A very unfortunate run out of Toqueer, gave way to Mobeen, who approached the crease. Badshahs at this moment had Haidery’s exactly where they wanted them, the squeeze was on. Haidery’s were being forced back scoring 68 runs in 11 overs, losing 4 wkts. It looked very unlikely for them to surpass 100.
But then the game changer happened, Mobeen threw himself at Long on, a Get out of Jail shot straight down the Long on’s throat, and to Badshahs dismay this was put down. And a batsman of his calibre will punish you for this mistake. A few big hits, and it resulted in an over that cost us 21 runs.
And then the 19th over was equally poor as Tahir the young gun dispatched Ashiq for 21 runs in that over, although he got put down at midwicket.
Kashif and Jeff bowled an amazing spell. We had the Haidery’s innings just the way we planned. But we got complacent, at the wrong time. Albeit the target was set of 168, which should be chased down.

In reply Badshahs started off very flamboyant, with Jayraj and Waheed. After 2 overs we were chasing the target down, 14 for 0. But After Jayraj’s departure, we collapsed very badly we lost 5 wickets for 5 runs. We were all bowled for 84 runs in 16.2 overs. Azad being the highest scorer of 21 at number 10 spot.

We started off amazingly with the ball. But we let the off the hook. A lot of discussions took place in the middle.
We as a team need to learn fast and adapt fast. The bowling compliments the batting and vice versa. We have to be determined and not give up before even trying. We could have chased the score of 168, but our batsmen did not even try. There was no fight, not at all. This is what is damaging us, and we need to snap out of this mentality. We need to learn to be more aggressive with the bat going forward.
