Watford Badshahs Cricket Club Lost

Match report Won the Toss and decided to bat first.

Batting was steady although we lost 3 wickets in the first over, but we were going at 7.5 runs per over.

But then we threw our wickets to what i would say very average bowling, and by the 18.3 overs we completed our innings, only managing to score 38 runs.

We then were tasked to defend 113 on a average wicket. The Bowlers done a fantastic job of bringing the game to our court. Hemel Azad couldnt handle the pace and spin which Ashiq, Jeff, and Kashi delivered to them. There were glimpses of some outstanding fielding by a few individuals but Asif was the one who was seen diving in all angles and stopping some crucial runs. This was also supported by Syed Raza who done a great job with the Gloves.

But our Nightmare became a reality, due to going on the field with one Bowler short, due to availability. The Captain entrusted the ball to the experienced bowlers, but unfortunately they were unable to deliver under pressure, and just made too many errors.

We had many hopes from a few individuals especially in the batting but they have yet to deliver.

The fielding also has much to improve, we had dropped catch and on couple of occasions we had the ball drop in between 2 fielders.

These errors need to be kept to minimum if Badshahs wishes to move onto the Premier Division.
