Match report The match was in turmoil as there was some rain or showers predicted the previous day. As Saturdays game was called off. Chances of a game on Sunday were bleek.

As it was a home game, and Junoon CC were joint top, and the stunt which Junoon CC pulled last season, Badshahs were desperate to get this game going at any cost.

There was a huge controversy at the beginning regarding the spin up(toss). Junoon CC were not ready to carry this task at 1:50pm, hence by the league rules they forfeited the toss. And we enforced the league rules onto them very strictly, which left a bad taste for Raja Abid.

We decided to bat first, and the game got on its way at 1:15pm, although we could have enforced the rule of loss overs, but we were lenient.. as they delayed the starting time.

Abbas and Sannan opened against the hyped bowling attack of Junoon CC.

Our captain fell early and Sannan took the charge, finding it difficult to negotiate the line and length of Waqas Khan. But managed to move on to double figures. Whilst Hameed was supporting the young gun from Mill Hll. Then he lofted one straight to mid on, and off he went.

In came the Sardar.. Who was given one task only.. to strike the ball and cause fear in the oppositions Bowling attack. Did he do that. The first ball he cracked it out of the ground for a 6. Which shook the whole bowling attack of Junoon CC. They knew that this was not going to be easy. As Junoon shuffled their bowlers, Sardar just kept on the charge. Smacking the ball brutally to the boundary, things were not looking good for Junoon at all. But Raja Abid had one tool left to try, who he depends on to change the course of the game. In came Farooq totally depending on his in swingers. And he also gets dispatched for 6. Junoon began to run out of answers to the questions asked by the Badshahs.

Naveed's innings came to an end he finished on 63 off 38 balls, hitting 6x6's and 4x4's.

In came Jeff, who was dying to step onto the crease. He began with a quite moderate approach hitting quick 1's 2's, assisted by Rehman. And then on his 10th ball Jeff decides to whack one straight out of the screws for a 6. He finished on 29 off 16 balls.

Badshahs finsihed on 171/4 20 overs

We left a mountain of a target for Junoon to chase.

And the opening task was given to Ashiq and Mashooq. Ashiq Began with back of the length outswinging jaffas. And Mashooq carried the momentum from the other end.
After bagging a wicket each, they were replaced by Rehman and Kashif. Kashif bowled an awesome line and length and was easily the pick of the bowlers. He finished on 4 overs 7 runs and 2 wickets. Jeff also had a superb day with the ball, having nearly the same figures as Kashi.

At the end Junoon were struggling to put 50 runs on the board, if it werent for Waqas Khan. They were no match for the Badshahs. Who beat them in every angle possible.
