Match report On a lovely day of cricket and the outfield looked as if the tone was set for some runs to be scored on the Icknield cricket ground. Having lost the toss, we were asked to field. We started off the bowling in a poor fashion. Ashiq not living upto himself, and firing in darts everywhere. But Mashooq was given the responsibility to back him up on the other side, things were not looking too promising. Then came on Rehman and he began to change the tempo for the oopposition, with his inswing and deadly bounce. Quickly removing the opening batsmen. But we just seemed to have a poor day with the field and the bowl, the only ones to watch were Mashooq and Rehman, the rest were very poor. After a target of 198 set by the opposition, we were very excited to chase this total. Abbas and Sannan went into bat, after the first over being a maiden. Abbas thought it was time to take the game back to the opposition, and began his quick scoring attack. But he was out soon, but gave his team a promising start. Then again a few wickets dropped, but the run rate was way above par. Things looked as if they were in the oppositions favour, until Jeff happened to the opposition. The One Boom Jeff, began steady, and then unleashed in a menacing fashion, he was the one to watch on this day.. His shots were played at will. Reaching 50 in 44 balls, and bringing the team to 195 for 8, but then he began to defend at the wrong time. And lost his wicket, he just couldn't stay there to see this home. And then Mashooq lost his wicket, we were unable to get the 2 runs which was needed.
