Match report After winning the Toss we decided to field first, as there was a doubt of the neutral umpire turning up to the game. As we hit the wicket there was a slight drizzle, but the bowlers were given a task, to rip through the opposition. In the Second over Ashiq steaming in, forcing the batsmen to throw his gloves at a short ball, and going straight at the keeper.. Unfortunately dropped. Then in the same over another chance was created, but the catching was below par. The moment was set for the opposition to not reach more than 80 runs. In the end there were 7 dropped chances, and more than half were dropped behind the stumps.
So the target was 146 to win. And we started really slow, a few chances created by the oppostion. The opening yet again looking shaky. Losing early wickets.
Then went Iftikhar to launch an offensive, but unfortunately that came to a short end. In went Jeff, he immediately showed his intention, as to where he was going. Some foxy boundaries. Then lost his Captain.
Rehman was sent in earlier than anticipated to offend the bowlers. Hitting a huge six straight behind the bowler.
And then Jeff, followed suit, hit a bigger 6, then a 4, and then caught.. in a successive manner.
Score was 97, and looked easy to reach to 146.. Then quickly losing 3 wickets, put Badshahs on their backfoot.
Shahzad approached the crease, not yet had much luck with the bat, he swung the bat, and when we needed 5 runs to win, he finished it with a 6.
