Match report So the tempo was set to avenge our pride and he intention was to plaster HWDC AKA Junoon CC.
Having arrived early on the ground, and doing some warm up drills, there was no sign of of the Home team..
Eventually they turned up. And then delayed the start for about 20 minutes. They just werent ready for the Badshah's. Each and everyone looking sharp, in the warm up drills.
The wicket was not a batting track at all, so we won the toss,and decided to set the target..
In went Abbas and Mashooq, taking the new ball on. First over was pretty poor, 10 wides from it.
Then Mashooq, fell victim yet gain in single figures.. Left Abbas to soak up the pressure.. Ifti walks on the wicket.. and takes two swings at the ball.. and pulls a muscle.. retired hurt.. Ambulance was called onto the scene.
So then the decision was made and a hitter was sent to repair some damage, unfortunately the wicket just was not helping the cause. And he too didnt last more than 5 minutes.
Abbas was again left at the crease scratching his head. Until both Captain and Vice Captain met, once again.. Everyone at the bench were hopeful of a promising partnership between the two. There were great signs, as the strike was being rotated.. It wasn't meant to be.. the track was offering too much for the bowlers..
So the Vice captain departed and leaving his Captain in the middle, and Shail goes in at 6th. He plays the inswinging Farooq effortlessly.. and then rotates the strike to his captain.. Where unfortunately he also fell victim.. to yet another LBW shout.
Then went in Ashiq, to face the music.. After defending a couple of balls, and playing sensibly he cracks Farooq right over the mid wicket area, towards the longest boundary, and opens his account.
Then Shail unfortunatley and yet again played a top edge straight into the off breaks hand.. And departs with an unpleasant look.. making way for Raza.
Then at this point the score was around the 70/6.. and Raza and Ashiq decided to take the game to the opposition.. runs began flourishing a boundary every over was definite..
Some amazing cut shots played by both Ashiq and Raza.. completely removing the thought of being bowled out for under 100.
And then Raza fell victim, of another controversial LBW decision..
After managing to get a score of 138.. and witnessing a huge six hit by Rehman.. We were eager to get on the pitch and ask the home team to enter the crease with the bat..
After the first over opened by Shahzad, the home team lost their first wicket.. they just couldnt put up with the wing provided by Shahzad..
Then when the second over came.. Junoon heart was just not in it.. they just did not seem like they wanted to play ball.
They made all sorts of excuses, they took 30 mins to send out another batsman..
Unfortunately it was tied.. There could have been a result, only if Junoon had the courage.. and the minerals.

Watford Badshah's cleaned their boots with Junoon's shirts!!!

Despite all this a BIG thanks goes out to Mudassar (butta) who escorted Ifti to hospital, and stuck with him all the way for a couple of hours.. until the match was decided.
