Match report The mode was set for a great day of cricket. The sun was out, and it was hitting a lovely temperature in the early 20's.
We had a little fuss as to players turning up and the whole colour kit fiasco.. But in the end everything worked out and.

After winning the toss, there was a slight confusion as to whether we take the bat, or fire up our bowlers to rip the opposition...

Abbas and Mashooq opened the bat. After Abbas taking the game to the opposition and going off with a flying start hitting 10 runs off the first over.

Unfortunately this did not prevent Mashooq from losing his wicket on his second ball, without putting up a score. Its beginners luck, he will redeem himself.

Abbas and Iftikhar then took the stand, and started to build a solid partnership until Iftikhar fell victim at 15 runs.. 35/2

Then stepped up Jeff, oh boy did he step up.. The Captain and Vice Captain were both at the crease. This time Jeff looked really different, he seemed he had a point to make.. A solid partnership between him and Abbas took the club to the high 70's, until Abbas fell victim.

Then went in Shail and stgood with Jeff, and built another partnership, and he also fell victim at 22 runs, at this point the tempo was set.. 23 overs and 113 runs on the board..

Then Ashiq approached the crease, although suffering from a broken toe, he came in and rotated the strike when needed.. And built a solid Partnership of about 80, taking the Badshahs to 190, and then losing his wicket to a cheap delivery.

In the end the total was set 222/10 in 39.1 overs.

So then the bowling happened, Shahzad and Ashiq opened the bowling. Shahzad looked to take a wicket at every ball, although this was no the case. While in the meantime Ashiq was keeping the runs dry at the other end.

Shahzad managed to take one wicket in his first spell, and then Mashooq was asked to enter the crease.. with his pace and bounce the runs were drying up even more.. he then claims a victim finally...
Then enters Jeff, already being remarkable with the bat, the atmosphere was set for him to have a great day with the ball.. and boy did he do just that.. He took 4/27.

Now the opposition were 6 men down, and the wickets seemed to dry up..

Then Shahzad was introduced into the bowling attack once again.. and he opened his account with an amazing swing, completely bamboozling the batsman, with his banana swing.. And amazingly taking the hat trick to clean the opposition up..
